The Maiden’s Voyage: Magitech Wars Book 1
There is a strange moment after you publish a book.
For years, the world lives mostly in your head. Then it moves into drafts, chapters, edits, covers, files, proofs, and finally, somehow, a finished book people can actually hold.
That should feel like the end of the journey.
For me, it feels more like the doorway.
My first science-fantasy novel, The Maiden’s Voyage, is Book 1 of the Magitech Wars series and the opening story of the Akasha Realm Universe. It follows Faybel Vala, a young woman from Earth whose ordinary life gives way to distant worlds, ancient bloodlines, impossible machines, living magic, and a war that has been waiting for her longer than she has been alive.
At its heart, the book is about discovery.
The discovery of who you are.
The discovery of where you come from.
The discovery that love, power, grief, and destiny are rarely as clean as the stories make them sound.
But now that the book exists, I keep asking myself a dangerous little question:
What if the story did not have to stay on the page?
That is where this new project begins.
I am getting ready for my first author booth, and instead of simply bringing books, a tablecloth, and a hopeful smile, I want to bring pieces of the world with me. Not just merchandise. Not random decorations. Actual fragments of the story made physical.
Bookmarks that feel like artifacts.
Wands inspired by the characters.
Relics from the Akasha Realm Universe.
Creatures from the worlds beyond Earth.
Objects that make someone stop, look closer, and ask, “Wait… what is this?”
Because that is the magic of fantasy, isn’t it?
Not just escaping into another world, but feeling, for one small moment, that the other world has escaped into ours.
So this is Episode 1 of turning my book world into something real.
The book came first.
Now come the objects.
The experiments.
The booth pieces.
The strange little ideas that may work beautifully or fail in spectacularly educational fashion.
I’ll be sharing the process as I build, print, cut, paint, test, and probably rethink half of it along the way. Some pieces will come from The Maiden’s Voyage. Some will point toward the larger Akasha Realm Universe. Some may become part of Storieshaven, my long-term vision for interactive stories, real-world experiences, and adventures shaped by choice.
I do not want to only write worlds.
I want to build doorways into them.
So if you enjoy science fantasy, indie books, worldbuilding, physical props, 3D printing, strange creatures, interactive storytelling, or watching an author slowly make his fictional universe leak into real life, you are warmly invited to follow along.
This is where it starts.
A book.
A booth.
A few tools.
A very large imagination.
And one simple question:
What happens when a story becomes something you can hold?
